Con decreto 762 de 2018 presentado el 7 de mayo de 2018, el Ministerio del Interior liderado por Guillermo Rivera, presentó la política pública LGBT para Colombia, con la cual se adiciona un capítulo al título 4 de la parte 4, del libro 2 del decreto 1066 de 2015 Único reglamentario del sector interior, adoptando la política pública para la garantía del ejercicio efectivo de los derechos de las personas LGBT.
Este proceso que inicio en septiembre de 2010, en el inicio del primer mandato del Presidente Juan Manual Santos, tiene como intención responder a las solicitudes de la sociedad civil que en su momento exigió al gobierno colombiano un instrumento eficaz que garantice sus derechos, prevenga las acciones de violencia y dote al estado de acciones afirmativas y acciones concretas que en toda la geografía nacional permitan el goce pleno de los derechos de las personas LGBT.
Caribe Afirmativo recomienda que no sea solo un documento oficial que se deja como constancia de cumplir un compromiso, sino que sea una garantía real para el reconocimiento de los derechos de las personas LGBT en el país y otorgue herramientas a las diferentes instancias del Estado para su protección. Colombia has LGBT public policy
With decree 762 of 2018 presented on May 7, 2018, the Ministry of the Interior led by Guillermo Rivera, presented the LGBT public policy for Colombia, with which a chapter is added to title 4 of part 4, of book 2 of the decree 1066 of 2015 The only regulation of the internal sector, adopting public policy to guarantee the effective exercise of the rights of LGBT people.
This process, which started in September 2010, at the beginning of the first term of President Juan Manual Santos, is intended to respond to requests from civil society that at the time demanded an effective instrument for the Colombian government to guarantee their rights, prevent actions of violence and endow the state with affirmative actions and concrete actions that in the whole national geography allow the full enjoyment of the rights of the LGBT people.
Caribbean affirms that it is not just an official document that is left as a record of fulfilling a commitment, but that it is a real guarantee for the recognition of the rights of LGBT people in the country and provides tools to the different instances of the State for its protection.
Red Somos celebra el decreto de la Política Pública Nacional LGBT
Para la Corporación Red Somos, como organización que trabaja por la garantía los derechos humanos y la diversidad; la firma de este decreto representa lineamientos de política para lograr: el reconocimiento de garantía y acceso a derechos; el fortalecimiento de capacidades y competencias institucionales en cuanto al principio de igualdad y no discriminación hacia personas LGBTI y la promoción del reconocimiento e inclusión de los sectores sociales LGBTI y de personas con orientaciones sexuales e identidades de género diversas.
Vemos importante que se plantee desde este decreto, medidas encaminadas a incluir enfoques de orientación sexual e identidad de género en políticas poblacionales como las de vih, una de las situaciones en salud que más afecta a hombres gay, bisexuales y mujeres transgénero. Read more via Red Somos
Red Somos celebrates the decree of the National Public Policy LGBT
For the Red Somos Corporation , as an organization that works for the guarantee of human rights and diversity; the signing of this decree represents policy guidelines to achieve: recognition of guarantee and access to rights; the strengthening of institutional capacities and competences regarding the principle of equality and non-discrimination towards LGBTI persons and the promotion of the recognition and inclusion of LGBTI social sectors and of people with different sexual orientations and gender identities.
We see important that from this decree be considered, measures aimed at including sexual orientation and gender identity approaches in population policies such as HIV, one of the health situations that most affects gay men, bisexuals and transgender women.
