President Igor Dodon opposes LGBT March in Moldova, plans march for supporting traditional family

On May 18th, at the meeting with the US Ambassador, the President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, expressed his opposition towards a LGBT march that will take place on May 21st.

According to Dodon, the position is not only his, but also of the majority of the Moldovan citizens. Dodon thinks the LGBT march would contradict to the traditional values, the Orthodox religion and morality:

“They cannot and will not be accepted by me personally, neither by the entire society”, declared Dodon.

Moreover, the President announced the plan to organize the Festival of the Family in the Great National Assembly Square in Chișinău, on May 21st, at 11. He will be joined by his former Socialists’ Party at the Festival. Read more via Moldova
